PEACH (Promoting Education and Community Health) is a Black-led, Black-serving and Black-focused charitable organization that has served the Jane and Finch community for more than 35 years.
Our mandate is to advance the health, education and wellbeing of Toronto's Black communities in Jane and Finch, and to deliver every program through Black and African-centred approaches rooted in the knowledge, culture and leadership of the community we come from. PEACH is led by a majority Black board and staff, many of whom share lived experience with the people we serve. Since December 2024, PEACH has served 3,357 unique residents, and every program is free.
Youth and families
We support youth and their families through holistic, wraparound programming, including youth outreach and crisis support, literacy and education, a professional music studio, a community kitchen, and first-job opportunities for young people. Our work is grounded in a deep commitment to helping Black and marginalized youth overcome social, mental health and housing-related challenges, reconnect with education, build life skills and forge pathways to a brighter future. Our core areas of focus include education, mental and physical health, housing, food security and the arts.
PEACH has extensive experience supporting youth who have come into contact with the justice system. Our programs provide consistent, long-term support that is rarely available elsewhere. Youth workers take a non-judgmental, youth-centred approach, meeting young people where they are and walking alongside them with empathy, respect and cultural understanding.
Adults, seniors and the wider community
PEACH provides a welcoming, inclusive space for adults, seniors, newcomers and Black 2SLGBTQIA+ residents in Jane and Finch. Our weekly food bank offers culturally familiar food to families across the neighbourhood, and our seniors' program supports the elders who built this community through health and wellness, digital literacy and social connection. We also host the Jane and Finch Pride Ball, creating space for Black 2SLGBTQIA+ community members to be celebrated.
Space for community builders
Our facility includes dedicated coworking spaces for local entrepreneurs, start-ups and small grassroots organizations, offering affordable access to professional amenities, meeting rooms and collaborative opportunities that strengthen the local social infrastructure.

Our facility
The PEACH hub at 127 Eddystone Avenue spans more than 4,200 square feet and features:
- Two classrooms
- A commercial-grade community kitchen and food storage pantry
- A fully equipped, professional recording studio
- Two multi-use meeting spaces
- Three shared coworking areas
- Private quiet rooms for reflection and focused work
- A garage-style indoor-outdoor space for community events
This space is designed to foster collaboration, creativity, healing and empowerment across all generations.
